There are lots of opportunities for meal kit delivery services to capitalise on the existing market. There are plenty of keywords with high monthly searches, including ‘meal delivery service’ and ‘meal prep delivery’ which get around 1.3K monthly searches. If brands were to get top spots on these search terms, they would see a significant boost in their bottom line.
In terms of search interest in general, Google Trends indicates that interest is growing in this market, especially given the current climate with Coronavirus. Social media is essential if you’re looking to engage with your audience online and create a loyal following of consistent consumers. However, mastering social is harder than it looks. It takes some brands years to manifest a following on social but when they do, they can begin to generate a significant amount of additional revenue.
It’s for this reason as to why we include a social media and brand awareness analysis in our reports. You’ll get an opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of your competition’s social strategy so you can have success sooner rather than later.
The top five meal delivery brands on social sites are:
Despite being a position 9 in the overall, My Metabolic Meals is taking the industry by storm on social. They have a social score of 365 with a total of 225K followers across a variety of social platforms.
Upon looking at their socials, they post a lot of educational content as well as product posts. This even split allows them to make money and avoid annoying their fanbase with pushy promotions. Some of their posts get as much as 700 likes, and many of these are on Facebook (a platform known for its lack of organic reach). If you’re looking to revamp your social, this brand is one to check out.
However, although My Metabolic Meals has the best social score, they don’t have the most followers – that award goes to Detox Kitchen. They have 230K followers across multiple social platforms, so they receive an honourable shout out as well.
